Aliza Stewart

Aliza StewartAliza Stewart, director of the Baltimore Feldenkrais center
Aliza Stewart has been a Feldenkrais practitioner for 28 years. She is now a Feldenkrais Guild certified Trainer, training teachers in the Feldenkrais Institute of New York, The Feldenkrais Training in Baltimore and other trainings in Europe, Israel and Brazil. Her main teachers in the US were Anat Baniel , David Zemach Bersin and Mia Segal . Aliza has presented classes, workshops, and presentations for many institutions and organizations, among them:

Originally trained and performed as a concert pianist, Ms. Stewart has a great affinity for the needs and problems of performers. She has taught classes and given workshops at:

• The Marlboro Music School and Festival
• The Juilliard School
• Manhattan School of Music
• The music department of the Vienna University in Austria
• The music department of the University of Wisconsin at Madison

In the Baltimore Feldenkrais Center, Ms. Stewart also applies the Method to working with children with various challenges and often works in conjunction with physicians, physical therapists, and mental health professionals to coordinate the care given to a client. She also practices in New York City.

Peggi Honig

Peggi HonigPeggi Honig has been working in Mind Body therapies since 1998.  Her specialty is working as a Feldenkrais practitioner.  In addition to her being a Guild Certified Feldenkrais teacher and practitioner, she is also certified and licensed as a Hypnotherapist, Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Massage Therapist

Ms. Honig has given Feldenkrais presentations, workshops and classes for many institutions and organizations including Good Samaritan/Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, MD; Sibley/Johns Hopkins hospital in Washington, DC; Community College Baltimore County in Essex, MD; and teaches at several venues in the greater Washington Metro region including hospitals, retirement communities, Physical Therapy office and Fitness arenas. 

Ms Honig was originally trained as an opera singer.  Her greatest joy is working with people to further enable them to improve their quality of life or performance. She also specializes in working with people who have joint replacements as well as special needs infants and toddlers.
